Hydroboost PS pump, to use or not?
The donor truck I pulled my 5.3 from was an 05 yukon and it a hydroboost setup. I got the whole setup and everything to it still, but I don't really need it and it's the only PS pump I have. Would it be possible to block off the lines that would normally go to the brake booster and just use it to run my power steering? Thanks

arent there only two lines on the back of the pump?
hydroboost is just an inline accumlator in the power steering system. get a line for a reg truck to the box, and run a line from the box back to the pump reserve. |

Is this what it looks like? This is from an 06 Duramax.
There are three lines on this one. 2 Steel lines and one rubber hose. |

Re: Hydroboost PS pump, to use or not?
I just finished my swap this week and I used a power steering pump that came off of a hydroboost setup. All you have to do is use the stock s10 lines(pressure and return)They will fit with a little work. Then block off the port on the top side of the power steering pump, it is only a return port for the hydroboost. I have been giving mine hell and no problems.
