Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

This a is a new release for our S10 with a LSx. The part number is 45250. I called almost every parts store to check this out. They all have them for around $440.00. This is a new line of engine swap headers for the Lsx style motors. I thinking that they purchased the design from someone who is currently making them. I called the company that is making the header direct to verify this information. It would be nice for once if we the consumer can a break every now and then. Make a long story short, they released the header at a very marketable price which might make a few people upset.

Now I don't know who's playing game with this issue. I think I may just buy the 98-99 manifold and call it a day.

Re: Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

To my understanding Jegs just started selling this header. The price is under cutting the origianl makers of the header. I don't know about you but I was told from husler they did not have them on there invoice so i guess they are not making them just yet. I have seen others asking was there a long tube header for the s10 with a ls1. Other than BRP, I have not seen anyone selling a long tube mass production header. That is why I said new because to my understanding I was told it was new.

Re: Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

Isn't that the uncoated price??? $440..... I'll just stick to the coated 1 3/4 mid lengths for $530...

What do you mean they aren't making them just yet??? And undercutting what original maker???

Re: Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

Uncoated to my door was around 625 from BRP you do the math. I talked to Phillip at Husler he said he did not know if they were making them just yet. As far as the 1 3/4 mid length if that is all you need then fine. I need more than a mid length header. Scammer I'm not using these forums to push any products. So I have low post what does that have to do with anything.

6.0 with a 630 roller single 750 carb 350 trans 410 gear and 28" tall tire. The heads are fully ported but they are only the 317 castings. Should make about 400 to the wheels I hope.
I was told that BRP originally made the headers. Now Husler is making them but they are not ready yet was I misled.

Thanks for the criticism I've been meaning to go back to school and take an english class. After awhile you loose it when you get up in the years. Not to mention the public schools that I went to sucked.

I saw that he made the same one over on S10V8.com and a few others...I dunno how he would be doing anything fishy...I think he was just trying to let everyone know about a good deal thinking it was new info...It's info to me that Jegs carried the stuff but other than that nothing new...

Re: Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

Life is too short to be trying to pull a so called fast one. Did anyone offer any advice for headers besides BRP Everyone was hurting because BRP price was too high. So I found out that Jegs sells the headers and I told everyone. I thought that was the purpose of these forums. You know to share information that will help with your project. Anyway that's why the world is so jacked up. No i don't work for husler.

Anyway BRP said they were making them for husler. I ordered mine and if they don't come I think I'm going to buy the regular shorties and put a little bit of juice to make up for the lost of hp.

Is this how you guys treat someone who is new and offering information that could help most. I did not know you guys new about Jegs selling them. I've never seen anyone say that Jegs had them. Don't worry about me giving any helpful info.

Don't let a couple armchair quarterbacks get you riled up there's a bunch on every forum....Thanks for the info I have the sanderson shorties and the passenger side header is a real pita to hook up...I just finished fitting and tack welding the pipes I that had bent at a muffler shop now I have to take everything out to finish welding the joints and paint the welded areas with ceramic paint from Eastwood..the passenger side has been in and out several times and a set of long tubes would have saved me a lot of headaches

Re: Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

it's all good. I'm going to have my chassis guy make me a set. I think I'm going to buy some solid frame mounts and just have them welded in. From what I've seen the top mounts should be to make. i was going to buy the install kit but when i called BRP they said i had to have it for the headers to fit. It just didn't sound right that I had to have the mount kit.

THE STUNNING MAN what are carshop cwp mounts.

Think about this for a second. Why not take a 6" x 4" plate mount it to the block. Then take a regular bbc moroso solid mount then bolt it to the plate. Moroso make a shorty motor mount for the bbc. Weld or bolt the frame mount in place. I think I'm going to try it before I let the chassis guy make the motor mounts.

Re: Husler #45250 Long tube for lsx NEW $440

I ordered a set from BRP but during the conversation I asked if they made them in shop he told me Husler was making making them. So I said why goto the middle man. If I have a problem with the header I just wanted to deal direct with the maker of the header. The funny thing is when I called Husler 3 weeks ago they said they had something in the back but they could not figure the bugs out ot the header. So the guy said they were going to give up on it. Then I see Jegs of all places with the headers. Not only are they doing s10s but everything even fords.
I'm usually on Maliburacing.com but only when I'm trying to put a car together. I have a 1998 Camaro with a 572 it runs 8.90's so far but it should be faster I've seen turbo camaros running in the 7's.

I don't post much on the "other" site, but I did put this sticky there. I'll keep this one up to date as best as I can.
