good deal ?

hi im from quebec canada and i want to swap my 4.3 for a 5.3. i found one 550$can for the complet engine 2004, wire, computer, slternator manifold all with 70k km and the same guys sale to me the 2004 tranny from is silverado z71 4x4 for 500$can for a total of 1050$can for all the kit. i think it a good deal, what you think about it ? and what is the tranny in that truck a 4l60e ?? thank all

so your going to run a 5.3 and a 4wd 4l60e in a 2wd truck? thats not gonna work unless you run the t-case.....

yeah just run the stock tranny with a shift kit and servos until you put down 400+ hp, or just get a 2wd 4l80e,but you already have the stock one so that will save some money,and $550 for complete engine is a good deal,this swap will be at least $5gs so save where you can

5k for what ? if i keep my stock tranny and buy a engine with all the stuff what is the other stuff i need ? a rad, fan, engine mount, maybe some headers .... ?

mounts,headers,wiring harness(CPwiring),computer tune,misc fuel system parts, fans,lots of little stuff that adds up, i have about $4g in mine already and its not runnin yet but next weekend it will be, can you weld cuz you will have to notch the frame for the oil pan and AC if you want it, transmission cross member might need to be modded, i dont think there was a swap under at least $4gs yet but i could be wrong

you have some good point but the wiring harness come with the engine enad your right with the little thing that come big i see that with my suspension but i will save my money i just want to put it this winter i have the time. end i think i will keep my manuel tranny from my 4.3

you right about that!!! ialready spended like 3500 close to 4000.with the engine and every thing so far like 6000
