fuel gauge not working.

just finished 5.3 swap into my 98 sonoma. it had a 2.2 in it. the only guage not working is my fuel gauge. i was reading that that signal goes through the class 2 data port. but I don't know if the pcm is getting a signal. where does the wire go from the tank. then where does it go into the pcm?

Re: fuel gauge not working.

theres a wire that goes from the tank to the pcm, then another that goes to the cluster. if you tell me what year your pcm is i can tell you pin location and colors to trace the wires

Re: fuel gauge not working.

I found the two wires that send the signal. tapped directly to the pcm. then had to take the pcm programed. I got the pcm out of a 01 tahoe. the sending units are the same Ohms. but the pcm thought it still had a 25 gal fuel tank. the sonoma has a 18 gal tank. just had the parameter changed. if you need the wire's and pin on the computer. let me know.
