Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

I am hoping to have them back in my possession on Tuesday or Wednesday. The moment that happens, I will post and let everyone know they are headed out. The shrouds are all cut, the parts are all waiting for them to get back so we can start welding and get them the hell outta here.

So are all the radiators back/shipping? I don't know how many you have to ship, but I'm pretty sure mine is close to the bottom of the list. (ships to Melbourne, AR)

Nope. It is in the hands of the company making the tubes for me at the moment. The last I knew, they had a huge order to finish before working on mine.

How much for the LTs? I am liking the look, might do a V band off the collector but otherwise I am digging it. 1-3/4" to 3" is that how they are?

As always Jared, nice work...

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

What ever became of the CP longtubes? Not finding alot for 1 3/4 headers for an LS in an S10, hard to make good power with 1 1/2 primary tubes, found some Sanderson knock-offs on E-bay with 1 5/8 primarys, not alot of faith in china junk though.......

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

I heard the hedman headers have 2 tubes that run outside of the frame rails and require the use of their mounts which I didnt like setup on? My concern with that is the daily driver nature of this truck, will see 20K plus miles a year...Ill check into the brp's! Thanks for the advise!!

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

Why build more when BRP makes long tubes for less, and they have larger 1-7/8 available.
That means they are better right?

Well because there bigger and more$$$ doesnt mean there better.
BRP's mounts for us are $250...does that mean there better mounts?

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

I do not like the BRP mounts compared to the CP units, The standard 2.8 Clamshel mount with the adaptor looks like a more reliable unit. If only the CP mounts would fly with the BRP headers??? God only knows! From what I have read Jared's opperation is a class act and you recive good quality parts. I will be using A CP harness for certain. I would use the mounts from CP if I knew they would work with the BRP headers hastle free.

I did dig to find this. I want to research this project and do it right and perfect the first time through. Headers is no place to settle or cut corners on, you get what you pay for and I really dont want junk long tubes or any kind of shortys! Im planning on 500 wheel horsepower so good headers are a must, also looking for daily driver reliability, so thick flanges are a bonus!

Throw me into the group that doesn't like the outside the frame rail headers that have to be used with their expensive mounts.

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

I went with the hedman mids bought them from jegs. Primaries are not all that short I would say only a few inches shorter than my c5 vette long tubes. I ran 3 in true duals to the axle.

IMO you could also modify the hedman mids and make them LTs if you had the skills.

Im looking for up to 480rwhp with my setup not quite 500 but pretty close.

I'm thinking mids as well just to stay inside the rails.
