Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

How would someone go about wiring one of these up? Does it include the T Stat/controller like the flex a lites so you can turn the fans on when you want them to start cooling? I won't be running A/C so I can't mount up the clutch switch like on the 2.2, what are my other options besides a simple circuit with an off on switch?

Thanks,

Are you still thinking 5% off for the rad/fans?

Nate

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

Yes, 5% off for people who want just the Radiator, or the Rad/Fans but no condenser.

This does not include any controllers for the fans, just the fans. It will be up to the end user to determine how to make them come on and off. Normally it is taken care of in the engine harness and computer controlled via relays.

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

we have the First prototype made up, the company that is reproducing the tubes has them and they are going to be sending us some tubes back in the next week or 2, after that, we just have to get them fitted again, make any changes, build a fixture, and then get more tubes ordered.

So still going to be a month or so before I can really say they are ready, but another few weeks after that to actually have any sets in hand.

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

How low are collectors going to hang? Hopefully not much lower then the frame rails. I have a friend with a 66 impala with a built 427 and with the front end sorta low the collectors hang down pretty close to the ground. Id like to have all the exhaust tucked up as high as stock I can get.

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

That is a common question, and I have always wondered why? Assuming that you are going to have an exhaust shop install an exhaust system, they should be able to also weld in some O2 bungs...
But yes, they will have the bung in the collector.

We could work something out and I'd do an independant dyno test of those headers for you, since I have access to a chassis dyno all the time.

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

I plan on dyno testing them compared to the manifolds as soon as I get the first set back, finished and on the truck.
Right now we are finishing up a swap using the manifolds, we will dyno that, then swap to the Sanderson Shorties for another dyno, then the long tubes.

Whats the difference in the condenser you sell and the stock on the 4.3 trucks?

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

Mainly size... with the radiator pushed forward, there is no room for the stock condenser, so this one is a bit smaller, but more efficient, and it bolts to the front of the radiator.

I've heard that the H3 pan works pretty well in the Blazers. I haven't seen any pics to confirm this though. I'd like to get a pan that doesn't hang below the crossmember or require any crossmember modifications.

So, whats the status of the long tubes I've heard ppl talking about?

Re: Ding Ding Ding Ding... Come And Get It!!!!

If you look at the Blazer from carshopinc's post, they are using the LH8 pan and show how well it fits and doesn't come below the crossmember.

As for the header status...

Got the tubes back from the bender, now we just have to cut and fit them, then make fixtures and we should be ready to go.

Nice! So what's the price gonna be for a set of those? Any ideas yet? I'd definitely prefer long tubes over shorties.

Got the Pass side re-done today with the bent tubes.
Gotta do the Dr side tomorrow. Then, make fixtures and we should be in business.

looking good man, what size did you end up with in the end?

I tried to call you today but missed you with the time difference, I'll be calling you tomorrow on lunch to order the cooling system.
