Cooling

Meziere has a new 300 series LS water pump that will aid in cooling at low speeds and also pick up 11-14 HP (according to the Company)

There's an article in the August 2008 Vette Magazine on the installation and testing.

They claim that it outflows a stock LS2 pump by 3 to 1 at idle through 3,500 RPM. They claim it will last 2,600 hours of driving.

If the pump fails, it has a failsafe circuit that cuts power to the fuel pump.

Looks pretty cool too.

Re: Cooling

will it fit in a s-series? The other Meziere pumps look too long.

Re: Cooling

7.8" long from the mounting surface to the tip of the pump.

Re: Cooling

moving water faster isn't always better. Though im sure a company like them has this pretty well figured out.

Re: Cooling

man just to think a stock water pump could last maybe over 100,000 miles or more, and cost nothing.
then to invest in a pump that dosent last too long for $750 ooouch.
with $750 i could buy 7 more stock water pumps or maybe more lol

well, its not as lop sided as you think, say you have an average speed of 35mph for all of your driving over the entire 2600 hours, that would equal out to 91000 miles of driving. i dont think your going to put many more miles on a motor that would "need" an electric water pump. chances are your going to have bigger problems than a water pump after 91000 miles of abuse on a modded(heads, cam, etc) lsx motor.
