camshaft degree is off
open closed int 8 deg 37 deg exh 59 deg 9 deg i was checking it on the edge of the lifter if anyone knows why its off or exactly how to fix it or just a suggestion let me know i checked it multiple times from the beginning and i keep coming up with the same thing i ordered a trickflow double roller adjustable timing set from summit has anyone else had this problem ![]() |

Make sure of your math and that your not mistaking the intake Lobe centerline or exhaust Lobe centerline for LSA.
You need to check with a solid lifter. Take a regular lifter apart and make it soilid and put the cup and retainer back on. Then check it again from the center. If you feel you need to change the timing up or down Mr Gasket makes bushings, you can simply drill oversize the timing gear dowel hole and install the bushing you need. They sell them in packs of 4 even or odd advance/retard. Or you could use and adjustable timing set like you said you ordered. |
