Re: cam question?!?!
I know guys are running it but the aftermarket has much better cams and can build one to do what you want it for. Every set up is a little different and a custom cam can do a lot

Re: cam question?!?!
The first question you should ask yourself is how you intend on using the truck.
Then, how is the truck equipped? Standard trans/Auto, gears, tire diameter, etc. Next would be if you will need to comply with emissions regulations. Finally, how much do you have to spend. Once you know the answers to these questions, I'd recommend contacting a cam supplier, providing them with the information they require to select a camshaft (or even go on the comp cams website and use their cam selector program) and let them make a suggestion for you. Another solution would be to go to the LS1Tech forums and look under the section for Gen III internal modifications. There are hundreds of discussions on camshafts. You can also go to Performance truck forums and do the same.
