cool the 4l60's hold up quite a bit too
i know a local guy who has a 408 on his full size chevy running 11.6 on motor and when he put a 4l80e it bogged and ran on the 12's so he went back with the 60..
ya the gearing is quite a bit different between the two. especially first gear

this a 13.5x29 tire i think, just using it to get an idea. we'll probably be running a 28inch tall tire at 10.5 inches wide

The 4l60e is ok for medium mods but all my F-body buddies usually go with th-400 or th350 still daily drive and the trans holds up.

Sounds good I hope to have swap started in 2-4weeks. I havent decided if I want to go with th-350 or the 4l60e or the t-56.

its all about money. i think by the time we get the trans brake and the converter and the fully built 4l60e. we'll have close to $2000 in it

I'm not guys I was waiting on my raise from work in 2 weeks. But I just wanted to go with an old school with new school kinda thing with the trans now im not so sure. Money will be no issue just time and most waiting on parts and machine shop.
