After CAT 02 Sensors
Well after calling many exhaust shops, everyone of there concerns is the placement of the 02 sensors after the cats. One shop told me about the simulators. Has anyone found these to work? Or I could contact Jared at CPW and see what he could do about it.
Here is the website i found for the Sims. http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/o2sim.html |

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
What exactly is their concern? Put a bung in a few inches after the cat and your done. Or even just tune out those sensors since all they do is monitor the cats anyways and tell the computer that everything about the cats are gravy.

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
Yup, post cat O2s are only to tell the ECU if the cats are working or not. Most people, including Jared, can just click a button in a tune file and tell the computer to ignore them basically.
Unless you have to pass an emissions check and they have to be able to read the post cat outputs. |

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
exactly, i have to go through emissions. So wouldn't they be able to see if you got rid of the 02 sensors from the computer?

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
I dont know if my tuner turned mine off or not but I recently looked through the list in hptuners of my current tune for codes and what the ecm will do with them and for the post cat it has "no ses light" or something like that. Anyways Ive still passed my e-check several times since the tune.

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
If you are using the stock computer with no tune they will be able to see. But with a reflashed ECM the game completely changes. I'd love to see all the things you could do with a program like that.

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
even going through emissions, you can program to send out a "dummy" code to the serial port.
my truck has no cats, and no rear 02's... but plug in a scanner, and they'll read just fine hahahaha. |

Re: After CAT 02 Sensors
It's all in the computer just send it out to Jared for a total reflash and he'll take care of the O2 problems.
