A really good transmission writeup

Something I found on the Colorado site, pretty informative and well written.

Lots of good info in that. Definetly going to add a tranny filter to my lsx swap now. Good looking out Jared.

Re: A really good transmission writeup

Anybody have any opinions or experiences with the vette servo mod? Im getting ready to put in a 2004 5.3 w/ the 4l60e that came with the motor and it would be real easy right now to do a servo install while the motor/tranny is out of the truck.

I'd say it's worth the $15-$20 you'll spend on it. But to be honest, you'd probably be more happy with a shift kit if you've got the trans out of the truck. It's a little more install intensive, but it'll feel firmer than just a servo. I can barely even tell the difference in my shifts with just the servo.
