2000 Sonoma
Guys,
I need a picture of the drivers side hood bracket from a 2000-2001 Sonoma. I need to see how the hood is attached to the bracket. Is it bolted or spot welded. Does it look like this? ![]() Thanks, Last edited by philntx : 04-10-2008 at 09:30 PM. |

Re: 2000 Sonoma
what are those hinges from what car and year. i've seen them come welded on. i had to cut mine off the stock hood. then bolted them for my carbon fiber hood.

Re: 2000 Sonoma
The picture is a 2000 Sonoma. The hood on this truck is bolted to the bracket instead of spot welded like my Blazer and 01 ZR2.
I've never seen a bolts/nuts like this on an S body truck. My question is, is this stock or has it been modified at sometime in its past. Thank for the comments. Phil |

Re: 2000 Sonoma
my 03 hinges were bolted to the factory hood. My aftermarket cowl was welded.

Re: 2000 Sonoma
i was kind of wondering if thats what you wanted to know. and as im sure u have found out, no its not the factory nut. The bolt might be factory, and the little nipple for attaching a gas strut isnt stock either

Re: 2000 Sonoma
I want gas struts.
Hell even a hood light would be nice. How come they don't put hood lights on anymore. |
