Yep! Also, check the pricing that he says that we sell our products at. They don't match any of our current or old prices. Lots of inconsistencies.

In one ad I noticed that it said the price of one of AVS's items was $500, the Chassis Tech price was $259.....since when is 50% of $500=$259

.............I guess I should be careful...Joe may be watchin.....don't want him to start dissin Waylayed

110/135-$12
160/180-$14
0/200 adjustabe-$12

.....yet if you go to the website you see this:

The legal stuff states it is only 'Lifetime Warranty' until it is installed

AIM'S NEW CLAIM ABOUT THEIR DENOMINATORS:
don't know if anyone has seen this or not, but in the new ST (has a red Tahoe on the cover) The ad states that the denominator is:
Quote:
Same Chinese Factory, but improved quality & engineering over the AirLift Dominator
I know it's already been discussed that they are made in the same factory, but this is the 1st I've seen him claim that his are better.

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT

i like having a nice lil insight on the whole China shit. In my market (sunglasses) we sell product made in China, but its again made to our specifications with our quality control and better materials...compare that to walgreens or the cheap shit like american eagle or urban outfitters sells made in china and its a huge difference...but to someone like joe morrow that fact gets overlooked (till now i guess, but i highly doubt his is higher quality if its still so cheap)

We are the same way. While there are plenty of US companies that copy other companies products or have their own products copied, such as us, there is only a handful that share the mentality that we have. The mentality that I am speaking of consists of our priorities. These are the priorities of AVS when we have a product that is made overseas:

#1. QUALITY (cosmetics, fitment, safety, etc)
#2. RELIABILITY (we strive to keep our defective rate per product under 1%. Then the factory must also stand behind us on warranty issues otherwise we won't do buinsess)
#3. DEVELOPMENT/PRODUCTION TIME (we DO NOT like having to back order a product, so we make sure that the factory can keep up with our demands)
#4. PRICE (it must be cheaper than we do now, if not, we must then be able to add extra features to that product. This way, we can turn around and offer you, the consumer, that part for a less expensive price or offer you an updated product with added features for the same current price.

Now the other companies that I'm talking about, that don't have these same priorities, guess what is the #1 priority on their list? PRICE!!! That is why you will usually end up with a P.O.S. product. We might make less money, but we will definitely have more return customers to make up for it!

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT

Wow...seems like aim just keeps digging itself deeper and deeper into the hole with each action they take...One thing i realized years ago when i was looking into air bagging a dodge i had (didn't get the chance truck got totaled) was if their adds look so freaking cheep..whats the quality like on the actual parts? Another point...joe probably hasn't spent much on ads for a long time since the ones that we all see are the freakin same as ads he had in the mags years ago...only dif is he added a couple items here or there.

one more tid bit for JOE MORROW.

I'd like to thank you for trying to ruin my families life by hiring me, and having me relocate to Arizona only to find out that you had "set me up" by making a foolish desicion to forward my complaint letter (that got me hired) to your sales staff. which led them to judge me instead of using me... I was fired/quit and was forced to start all over. I'm now over $20,000 in debt BECAUSE OF YOU!!!!!!
If you hadn't of done this I wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet Jeff Jacoby and his other business partners to share with them my story (and other details) and how you actually run your company, from the way it looks to the employees that despise you, but smile in fear because they all have boat payments...your true nature has been shown in great detail.

I REALLY LIKED YOU JOE! I used to say "LONG LIVE AIM" I TRIED HARD TO GET OVER THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE LOST TOUCH WITH THE PEOPLE THAT PAID FOR YOUR ROLLS ROYCE (THAT I DROVE YOU TO DINNER IN?) YOU SAID: "I HATE MINITRUCKERS, AND I HATE THE MINITRUCKER MENTALITY"

well I'm a minitrucker and this is my mentality, whats more? this is a MINITRUCKER forum. and to my family of minitruckers who may be decieved by joe (or his hired forum helper) "DONT BE A FOOL, BEING FOOLED BY A FOOL"

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT

Rusty your post was removed as it was OFF TOPIC that thread clearly in the rules state its for customer and parts.

Your thread was 100% completely about your moving to work for him and being screwed. I feel for you I really do. Its wrong, your story should be told. But it doesn't belong in that thread. Additionaly we are cleaning up drama on SSM. SSM is no longer going to be the place to "call out someone". That deal is between you and him, not you/him/ssm

Let me also say that if comes around that Joe is playing games and not making good on all of this stuff he claims to be, we will pull it. We are only letting it go on the hope some people will be made whole.

I am not going to argue you with you guys if you belive it to be right or not. Also whoever is posting the same email over and over, its still on there, it doesn't have to be posted over and over, 1 copy is fine.

Subject: Re: been screwed by AVS

Anyways, I have been given the run around by the AVS company on a product i
had ordered from them recently. It was a digital air gauge kit that they
sell, and lable it as a "Genuine AVS product" . when i recieved the product,
i started to notice alot of similarities to the kit that you sell. It
appears to be the same kit, but with the buttons flipped to the bottom, and
the face plate with no holes in it an an AVS logo on it. The sticker on the
top of the unit says "Made in Tiwain" . I personally find this very
missleading, because for it being a genunie AVS product, it sure has alot of
similar features and looks and everything as yours, and if they are just
modifying one of your kits and selling it as theirs, that is complete
bullshit, and a direct LIE.

the senders i got with my kit are blue and silver aluminum ones. Ive done
some research on them, and have found out they are produced in china
someware.

I dont want you to think that i want you to send me a kit to keep, i only
want you to send me a display so that i can do some side by side
photographing of the two for visual proof of my claims. I intend to send you
back the display after photographing. I have allready purchased a different
digital air gauge kit from another company and it works fine for me, i just
have my AVS one sitting here for a while untill i sell it, so i dont need
the parts again, I am just wanting to try and prove to everyone that AVS is
simply importing parts from someware else, that are EXACTLY the same as
everyone elses, but seling them for more money.

i fully intend on posting my findings on s10forum, as well as some others,
but i want to do it fully at one time, with side by side photos.

its no big deal if your not interested, im sure you have better stuff to be
doing, i was just interested in exposing AVS for what they are.

thanks for the info, your time was appriceated.

thanks

Taylor

I recently bought a digital air gauge kit from AVS. I had issues with my
kit, along with an mildly unpleasant experience with them. I am having
issues with my kit again, im not going to bother dealing with AVS with the
situation, because of my past experieces with them.

What im wondering is if you would beable to send me a display unit to one of
YOUR digital air gauge kits, so that i can compare the differences to see if
my stuff will plug into it. Im not asking you to give me anything, i will
gladly pay for it, and ship it back to you, if i can get a full refund. If
your not interested in doing that, would you possibly beable to send me
photographs of the backside of your kit, and the plug in harness, so that i
could check to see if my plug and stuff is the same, and i will just order
one from you.

The reason im curious is that, i got some information from someone else that
the kits were very similar, and if you look at the physical properties of
the kits, they do infact look VERY similar. The buttons on your kit are
exposed, and the buttons on the AVS kit are not. The display is layed out
in the exact same manner.

If its anything to you, i would gladly share my findings with you.

well, I have never saw your message. my bad.

And I only figured out that they were being deleted AFTER being banned?
so, I couldnt figure out what was going on? I just reposted it?

SO, it would be dope if you unbanned me
I used up all my "Free posts" anyway, so I'll be forced to read with grit teeth.

JOE will never admit to any wrong doing, so asking him to do so is pointless. (but thanx)

I can tell you what he will say before he even write it...

"Rusty was treated fairly and made his own choices to quit AIM bla, bla, bla"

Do you actually think he's gonna say
"gee I am a dick?, here Rusty "mybad" here is your 20 G's back"
no.

So I wrote my story out to warn people like you.

if he had made things right a few months ago, we'd be talking about my datsun not Joe.

but after this whole "geting banned" thing im done. you guys will see me later at a show,I'm sure.

I'm not mad at Joe, I'm mad that I lost my judge of character before I got hired. It was my own fault for not reading into the post more? I gave him the benifit of the doubt, and got jacked. haha!

Peace, love and light

I can understand your interest in posting it. However it simply doesn't apply to that thread under the rules which we let it exsist to start with. That doesn't mean I dont think your right. If that happend to you thats horrible, but honestly most of us are not seaking employment with Joe. So it will almost relates to nobody. Sure it goes to his characture, but again off topic in that thread, seriously.

Sue him man, thats a lot of money. If your right you will win.

Ya DJ maybe. However I bet you could find many lawyers to take it on.

I dunno if Rusty tried, I would have gave it a shot over 20k.

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT

sue him. funny.

and for the record: he offered me a position after I bought some products and was unhappy with them....Its a long jacked up story.

I thought I could actually fix AIM, I was wrong and it was a very expensive lesson.

dont unbanned me, Its better for my health not to read that shit anyway,ha.

Well Rusty, "cant" never gets anything done. I would sue over 20k. If you have a foot to stand on you should be able to win. Good luck either way.

So I have to ask. How much did you get for an advertising payment from Joe.

Just curious as it seems a lot of your site has now been changed over to AIM is good and we can prove it....btw here are some costs on the parts we provide...thanks and check us out at www.xxxxxxxxxx.com....Joe.

Not to be a dick, but god damn man did you sell out?

Rusty,

I am sure you are aware of iwastaken.com

Someone sent me some messages. I am more than willing to host your story on the site. Make it as detailed and concise as possible and I will post it. Just email it to myself or DJD and we can handle placing it up.

BTW. Spelling does not matter as I can get my wife to edit it for you as I am just as bad.

Doug, Jeff and anyone else in the emails originally. I am game guys.

SSM has taken zero money from AIM. Our interest is to try to get some members made whole. Simple as that. Some are posting saying they are being made whole already. So in our eyes its worth it. You are free to run your site as you like. I see both sides of the arguement, and I agree and dissagree with both sides. Maybe everyone wont get helped if it turns into him blowing off poeple we will shut it down, believe that. For right now though we feel its worth the shot to help some members out.

Once again, zero money has exchanged hands.

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT

If you say so.

I find it interesting that censorship of anti aim shit happens now, the site allowing " people to be made whole " months if not years later. But alas, it is whomevers site and not mine. See it as you wish, but advertising is just that and if you can not see it then so be it.

Say la Ve

I wont go on.. lol

I'm out for my extended hiatus.

Cheers.

Here is the posted E-mail,

Here is the E-mail as Taylor sent it to Joe,

DJ so your saying joe edited the original email correct? Im dealing with about 204585040 issues so I cant read everything word for word. If its the case that should be posted on SSM and I will leave it. But please dont post it 1048305485490 times.... just once.

Again i said I see both sides. You bring up nothing that hasnt' already crossed our minds. However you dont agree its worth something if some people get some parts/refunds/credits/etc?

Thats the goal simple as that. We have taken no money from Joe for anything. Posting/advertising, nothing. That thread is full of his companies mistakes someone woudl be a fool to buy from him seeing all that.
