Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT
Ok guys. I am going to start a new thread in OT.
What I am thinking of is this. I will start a new site. A site dedicated to the bs that this company....aim...is pulling and what they have done. It will be a new domain. IwasTaken.com I will need a little help. 1. a logo 2. contributors with facts 3. I will extend ads from all current supporters on s10f and GMT to be on there. 4. I am thinking a simple forum. I may even take some of my own money from my trading accounts and buy a few pages of ads in a few magazines to promote the site, that is if we get the turn out on it like I think we will. So if you are game paticipate in this thread.... http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f42/di...d-here-366215/ Do not comment in here. Thanks |

I am in for some fun now. Remember the other domains I bought for members on here that pissed me off. Well, he is not a member, but I am going to start something soon enough. |

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT
1. It is freedom of speech by you to post your opinions on products and services. 2. Let him try to sue me. He will get shit out of it. I have some very deep personal pockets to play with. My company whom owns this site has a whopping 1k in the bank account for hosting fees. He is more than welcome to try to take this if he wants as my personal assets are separate from the corporation, for specific reasons. I am not stupid. 3. I do not have an issue with people posting their opinions. That is what made this site what it is. 4. I have told Kris from SS that I am behind him on this matter too. From the TOS 5. The Site may provide you and other users an opportunity to submit, post, display, transmit and/or exchange information, ideas, opinions, photographs, images, video, creative works or other information, messages, transmissions or material to us, the Site or others ("Post" or "Postings"). Postings do not reflect our views; and we do not have any obligation to monitor, edit, or review any Postings on the Site. We assume NO responsibility or liability arising from the content of any such Postings nor for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information within such Postings on the Site. Do I need to say anymore? |

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT
well I got two emails back from him, here ya go! Seems as if maybe good ol Joe is starting to see the error in whats been done in the pass and wanting to make good?
Scott, I meant what I said in the ad in Truckin. Travis, Send Scott a 1/2" Plug and Play with a DC7000 compressor along with some 1/2" airline. Scott, it will come in a black case. Send him the tracking number Monday morning. If you have a set of mirrors, send them as well. Thank you for the opportunity to get these items out to you. Joe Morrow Scott Spiehler ----------------- -----------,---------- and this one Kris, As expected, I did receive a few emails from your members expressing both Negative and Positive responses. It also gave me the opportunity to correct some problems that I have not had before. The most thought out one came from Michael White of Dallas Hotrodparts below. I have had two days to think about it and I have decided to take Michael's advice, and take the high road. I will give positive responses thru my staff on your forum in an honest effort to correct issues that are valid. Michael simply sent a constructive email. Scott Spiehler also vented on me, and I happen to agree with him. Problem is that I would have agreed with him in the past as well, but sometimes an owner is once or twice removed from the communication loop. That is why I do not hide under a psuedo name from our customers. I will continue to handle ALL issues, and even respond nicely to someone that talks trash. I only kindly request you to take a look at bashing. Valid complaints are one thing, but ranting with personal attacks is simply not good for either of us, or the Trucking Community at large. My opinion, for what it is worth, is that most members want positive results. Thank you for your posting, it puts it all out there and It is something that I would have done as well. I was just stoked over the name calling in the infamous email. A problem with a product is a personal issue, not a license for a personal attack from someone that i do not know. I agree with Michael that I should apologize for my heated response. Kris, I apologize and hope that we can develop a normalized relationship with your forum over time for the good of the community. Sincerely, Joe Morrow |

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT
This is the email I wrote and sent Joe Morrow about his behavior, actions, and motives.
Why do you want to go after public forums and people personally for their honest opinions and thoughts? Have you never read the Declaration Of Independence, maybe in school, I know it was decades ago but still, can't you remember the part about freedom of speech? These websites only facilitate us to share our opinions to a large crowd, so we can stop other people becoming victims also by buying your low grade products. Denominator bags? Lets go back to highschool again, do you not remember algebra? The denominator is the BOTTOM number, the lower number? So is that like a subliminal message about your product? What grade steel, what thickness, and wall diameter do you use on a S10 four-link? Do you know if your bars and plates and things line up when they are installed on your customers vehicle? I have seen many of your kits that fit like shit, look like shit, and the bars start cracking within months from daily normal use. If you want people to quit talking shit about you and your company here's a couple of ideas: 1. Make better products, and don't retaliate like a bitch when someone bashes them, go back to the drawing board and improve that product. 2. Shut your doors now, sell the company and be done with it while you still have some money, because if not, your company is slowly sinking and its going to take the captain with it. 3. Let someone else take over the company and make the changes that needed to be made. So what do we have now? IF you want to sell good quality products to consumers you aren't going to beable to sell them for cheap. That is why any top companies that sell anything, clothes, shoes, truck parts, computers, whatever, are their prices are in the same ballpark, BECUASE they are selling QUALITY, not CHEAP. These are my personal opinions of you and your company, you can make better products and be a revered company like TB or AVS, but you are going to have spend money, isn't that the old saying? "You have to spend money to make money?" I think that you going after forum owners and users is just cowardly, just like the pussy would rather pull a gun on you and pull the trigger, instead of taking a chance of getting a black eye or bloody nose, he don't want his rep gettin hurt yo, so he just eliminates the threat, which in your case, is your consumer......not a good business strategy. I know some of this countries best business analyst's, if you would like to get in contact with them let me know, I will gladly lead you in the right direction. You sir might have big war box, but it doesn't matter, you are fighting a war you WILL not win, you can't sue consumers into liking, trusting and buying your products, thats the beauty of free-will. Good Luck in your endeavors, ever how futile they are, |

Re: AVS slammed by AIM in new MT
I dunno if this really matters and I know there's alot of well educated people on here, but...
I use to work at a bike shop and found out alot about the manufacter's side of the spectrum. In reality there are a very small few companies that actually build the products. The companies design the parts, components, etc, but usually send the designs out over seas where production costs are alot less. While it does suck that all our US money is going elsewhere, its a reality of life that its more economical for the company (AIM, AVS, whoever) to get the parts made overseas. The difference is quality control which AVS has. The overseas companies have to meet AVS's quality control specifications and thats what produces a good product. If you cut corners like AIM does then that reflects all the way back to production and thats where the shitty products come from. I would/have/will buy US made or China made products without hesitation. The difference is who I choose to buy them from, and Id much rather pay more for a reputable company/products than get 50% off for a pile of shit product that was poorly designed and made cheaply. *2 cents* |

Scott, yesterday, evening we decided to change the 1/2 plug and plays to use all compression style fittings. This will insure a leak free experience for our customers. We took your plug and play off the truck so we can change it to the new fittings. The same tracking info will be used. Travis |
