Re: yet another airbar question...
Are there any issues that this causes? Like rear end pumpkins hitting the bed floor, x-cab crossmembers, and driveshaft problems? I have thought about putting a 2.25 notch as well, but these have always stopped me. Anyone ever had any problems like this?

Re: yet another airbar question...
My friend did it on his regular cab, and other then relocating the evap canister he didnt have to do anything else to it. he still has a stock bed floor, no cutting there. and you can get a new X cab X member from SD for $60, well worth it.

Re: yet another airbar question...
kinda off topic but my names matt i have an 03 black s10 extreme and wanna get the airbar too hahah, i wanna keep my side skirts and all so i was wondering if i use the air bar and put drag blocks underneath will it go low enough so it sparks? i don't wanna lay frame as of now just shoot some sparks and the airbar seems like the way to go for me since its bolt on.

Re: yet another airbar question...
my friends regular cab s10 with airbar and bolt in 2.25" notch doesnt hit the gas tank crossmember. you shouldnt have problems with anything hitting the gastank crossmember.

Re: yet another airbar question...
i measure my clearance..sitting axle to frame, i have 2 inches til the driveshaft hits..so im guessing id hit the driveshaft on the crossmember 3/4" before i bottomed out the axle in the notch

Re: yet another airbar question...
I was told that i would have to buy the roadgrater gas tank member. but to buy that its like 250 bux. So over the winter I might try to modify my stk gas tank member and get it to clear. Matt |
