Thomas 327 compressor questions

On a 5 gal tank, how long will it take the compressor to fill the tank to 145 psi from 0 and also how long with it take it to recover from 110 back to 145?

Thanks

Honestly..........Long as hell. I have compressed air from 2 scuba tanks but I have the Thomas 337 that comes with ART's standard kits and i have a 5 gallon tank. The comp is strictly for back up for when the scubas deplete, I have something that will air me up.

From 0 psi to 150 - the Thomas 337 took like 3 1/2 minutes. It would get the air line off the head so hot that the air line would burst. So I replaced the air line with a braided steel line and -AN fittings.

From 110 - 150psi - the 337 takes like 2 minutes.

I just seems so damn long like I could take a nap and have dinner and I'd be done before the comp was.

ART should ditch this comp from any of their air management kits. Even on a 3 gallon tank it takes forever.

Re: Thomas 327 compressor questions

yeah i found a compressor fill time calculator program that DJAudio made, he has a link inhis sig and used that and on a 5 gal tank it says the 327 is 3min 48 sec but im not building a hopper, and really only going to lay it out when its parked, and not even all the time for that.

Thanks for the help and info, much appreciated.
