Side To Side

I bought a truck with the BIG RED system and it's hooked so that I can raise the front and back but I was wondering how I would go about hooking it up to go side to side ...it has the buttons for it and it has another gauge hooked up to ...didn't come with any instructions and am looking for a way to do it ...maybe a link ..some advice ...etc ...thanks

Re: Side To Side

I found this

http://www.ridetech.com/instructions/docs/ARC4700e.pdf

except the way this setup is made I have 2 switches that work ...I have one switch hitting up or lowering the front and the other does the same for the back ...could I hook everything up so that its the same but the other two switches cover the side to side ...?

Re: Side To Side

its possible, but i would have just hooked it up individually like 'normal' ya know, then just use two fingers to do combos..

but anyway, to do it youll need to wire in diodes so that electricity doesnt feed back thru the other switch.

Re: Side To Side

to wire the other switches, youd have to basically hook up the same wires that are on the switches you are using now, but in a diff configuration. however, you cant do that, because when you hit one switch itll send power thru 3 solenoids instead of 2. to solve this you use diodes (very cheap) to isolate the switches.

or you can just wire up the switches to control individual bags, and just hit 2 at once, unless you only have 4 valves (2 solenoid blocks)..then youre screwed.

Re: Side To Side

sorry man I'm new at the bagging ..I am rolling into it but learning thanks for helping but still a bit confused ...I understand the diodes ..that wiring would probably be out of my league ...but to manually put each bag on one valve shouldn't be a prob I would think

Re: Side To Side

so that would probably be my best bet right ...just plumb each bag seperately?? ..and they would each be hooked into there own switch

Re: Side To Side

yep, and if you have 8 black things on the red things then you have 8 valves...

Re: Side To Side

wouldnt have to, but getting rid of it will increase the amount of lean you can get.

Re: Side To Side

ok ...is it just possible to say screw it and get a switchbox do I don't have to deal with the diodes ...but I wasn't sure if this system is compatible with a switchbox

Re: Side To Side

you could, but i dont really see any reason to, id rather have each switch hooked up to individual bags..
