Shockwaves

I have been looking to bag the front of my truck for some time now, and I like the ease of installation from the ART Shockwave setup. My question is though, will I be able to untuck a 20'' wheel up front with that small of bag? Id like to run 20/22s but its a daily driver and I need to untuck enough to turn fully. I was told that It can only untuck an 18...

THANKS,
Scott

Re: Shockwaves

I have them with 18's up front I think 20's would clear enough to turn all the way when do you do a full crank anyway though

Re: Shockwaves

That will depend on your overall diameter. It should work just fine unless you are running some stupid large wheel or have a terrible wheel and tire fitment.

Is a 22" wheel(255/30/22 tire 28" overall height) a stupid large wheel Tony? Im considering the shockwaves again since I want shock and I wouldnt be able to turn with shock relocators. How much lift/drop will shockwaves give you? Tony do you have an s10? or someone at ridetech that can take some more detailed lift/drop pics of the s10 and tell me whats installed on it.

Re: Shockwaves

Well along with the front question, I am also looking to bag the rear. But I dont need a crazy one-off four link. I am going to be acquring some toys relatively soon and with a 6'' drop out back I just want some leveling. Would it be more recommended to purchase the air over leaf, or the 7000/9000 shockwaves (to replace my rear shocks)?

Um someone correct me if im wrong, but im 99.999% sure that you definitly cant just replace your rear shocks with shockwaves. Air overleaf is a cheap way to do the rear set up but isnt the safest way to go cuz you chance breaking leafs....monoleafing. Its an allright temporary setup so ive learned but you dont want it long term. You should get either the ART Airbar(bolt on, no cutting) or Roadgrater(cutting and laying frame)

Re: Shockwaves

I have a blazer, so neither of those work as far as I know. And i dont plan on monoleafing, just removing a leaf or two. My main concern is bottoming out on MI roads and highways, especially with friends in the back or a trailer...

I didn't see any part numbers for those in the catalog. I guess you would have to call them up to see whats available.

Re: Shockwaves

the ride height is dropped by 2-2.5" from stock. You can deflate roughly 3" from there and you will have a total of about 5-5.5" of travel at the wheel.

Re: Shockwaves

shockwaves suck.... they dont provide 1/2 the useable travel you can get with a normal bag and cup combo. The only nice part about them is the shock is in there.

How do you like them otherwise? how much lift/drop do you get? basically the difference in height with it slammed to aired up at ride height. Any pics of it up and down?
