Re: RoadGRATER

I Have had major issues with my bushings wearing. I am working on making some of my own poly ones because the hassle of replacing them is getting old. Not to mention paying about 10$ a piece for a shit bushing. Other than that it worked well for me at the time I bougth it. Today I would have custom made a 4 link with bags on the bars. But last summer I couldnt weld and had no plans of buying a welder 6 months later I bought a 220 millermatic and have all the tools to fully bag a truck any way I want.

That is true. One would think that after three years of people having the same problems they would have fixed some of them by now. I love the way the rg rides and the lift is acceptable. The RG is a good piece of equipment, but is in need of an update to make it great again.

I'm in the same boat. I ended up buying my welder while I was installing my RG. Which isn't something I planned on. If I had known I would have bought a 5-link.

Re: RoadGRATER

I got this bolt on kit from SD it looks pretty strong much more stronger than ART kit. But I still need to weld the bag mounts and shock mounts into it I was going to call SD and ask them if I could make it into a 5-link by adding the link bars on the back here are some pics.

I called them and told them what I wanted and they made me this kit its a 3 link together with the bolt on step notch. The price for this was like $1000 but I m going to make it into a 5 link I already talked to them its going to run me another $475 to make it into a complete 5 link most of it is bolt on. I like it better than the ART Road Grater.

Re: RoadGRATER

Is there any 3-5 link bolt on kits out there that are better than the RG? I've been looking around and I saw the rg, looked good, but read this thread and now don't know what to buy. ANd it'd be way better if it was bolt on. I drive a 2002 Blazer Xtreme, so im trying to find something compatible.

You think I could lay from with a c-notched AirOverleaf on blocks? Theres almost too many 3-5 link kits now that aren't legit or easy to put on i almost dont wanna bother
