RG notch size

how big is the notch on the RG?
i have a 4" notch already in so i dunno if this will fit over it where it'll be easy to cut the old one out...

Saw your other thread. I'm not sure of the notch size however the notch is larger enough to easily lay on a 20". Start getting into wheels like 22" or higher and you might start cutting it real close.

Re: RG notch size

k thanks, was just wondering the size of the notch itself before i go ahead and get a kit and have to do all kinds of modding, i was going to go with the sd 3link but that would mean shock relocating and with the RG that is already in place

i looked through the specs and all but seen no notch size, yet it doesnt seem to be a 8" one from the way pictures look

Re: RG notch size

you'll have to cut the old one out. The RG notch isn't exactly the same as a weld in notch. Not to mention it is longer. If you're curious about notch size to lay wheels then well u can lay a 22" in the back.

kk i can already lay 20s was just wondering how it would fit over a 4" weld-on, thanks but im prolly better of going with a different setup and just keeping the current notch and find someone to weld some steel tubing for a new shock location

what setup do you have?? I would assume you already have a shock mounted to a bridge bar and your axle? Why do u need to change it?

its mono right now with the the shocks on a crossmember on the back of the notch and the bottom shock mount would be gone if i were to put a 3-link in so my plan was to put a sd shock relocator kit on the front of the notches.....if i didnt go RG

from my understanding the ride/lift is basically the same with the RG and air over axle which it is now both 1:1 setups....just those damn monos ride like crap and no lift

id post the setup i have in mind just this thread is in ARTs forum and it might not make them happy

Re: RG notch size

the difference in ride with over the axle is the bags. If u use sleeve's the ride will be a lot better then convulated bags.
