How much did you total bagged ride cost

I want to bag my 01 s10 but I dont know how much a decent kit would go for. Do you think I can get it all, and get it installed for 3000. I dont have a welder but would I just be able to have a bolt on kit. I dont want to cut up the bed or anthing like that. If I weld it in, would I have to cut anything would it be ablot cheaper.

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

well you posted in ART so I'm gonna assume you're gonna use their products. The Roadgrater alone is 1,500 or so. It's all bolt-on and will also lay with a 20' wheel. You wanting to lay frame or what?
If you have any more info post up, that'd be helpful.

well you could raise the floor, but I guess if he don't wanna cut it up for price reasons he damn sure don't wanna pay to have it raised. Whatever he hasn't posted back up and I haven't heard anything from him. Plus this thread title has changed like 3x

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

Too damn much considering they say its powder coated when in reality is some cheap ass plastic coating. I think 2 parts in the whole RG kit and Cool Ride are actually power coated. Bullshit if you ask me.

all my stuff cost me around 3500 to 4000, i went all out though with upper and lower control arms and a big red compressor system, you could go it much much cheaper but i dunno how happy you would be

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

1500 is to much for the roadgrater, too many issues have been happening with them. the bushings going out quick as hell and the lower arms shiftting a lot. i started to go with the kit but spending 4500 on an art kit is too much.

i think its a hell of a kit. i dont like welding much. I dont trust other people working on my truck. i bought the thorbeck brothers 10 bolt diff bracket, its beefy as hell. I didnt go with the entire kit. I love the big red valves, i dont like the speed of air lifts or smc. i went with faster compressors. So really all i have from art is valves and the 3 link. Many worse problem can come from some one who has no clue what they are doing on pinions, like me to be welding stuff up. Other weld on on kits are 1300, plus shipping so really its around the same price. To each his own tho

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

yeah i see your point but they could beef the kit up a bit and do something to fix the bushing and shock tab issues along with the bolt problems that many people have been having with the kit. i have decided to take my truck to a well known shop to get my rear kit done, have a warrenty on the work and not have to worry about having to take my bed back off just to tighten the bolts back down every couple hundred miles.

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

yeah that true, and bring the price down a few bills, i have found them as cheap as 1250 brand new free shipping some places but i cant get ahold of the guy again. A stronger 10 bolt diff bracket would be a good start. There is no problem with a shop doing your truck i would just want to watch them to see how all the air line will be ran so "IF" ever you blow a line you can fix it your self and not have to worry about being stuck out on the freeway.

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

i think you would be better off in the sd section below this. Im not sure if art makes a kit for your truck but i havent looked. Just the air mgnt is from 2,000 to 2,700. you could build your own kit, twice as fast for a third of that, look into other choices before you consider art, they are VERY expensive but well worth the money. for my big red valves was 750, compares to 200 i could have paid for some smc's..

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

the roadgrater kit sucks... Bag it yourself... I hate this bolt on junk! I dont even know where my suspension is priced at but i know i spent 600 on semi truck air lines and fitting that are rated at 500 psi! plus the control arms, 2 viair compressors, tanks, slam specialties bags and rodz, valves, helium tanks, regulators, switch box, dakota digital guages, tons of wire, step notch and tubeing for frame, etc...etc...etc... Im overboad... its worth it though... (:

Re: How much did you total bagged ride cost

i think for an S10 it will be around 3000. I have a surbarban that lays and it was around 12,500... So yea. i would rather go for the 3000, or you could always do it yourself and save 1500
