Control Arm ?'s

I was looking for some feed back on the control arms from ART. How they ride. Any problems with the shock and/or the sway bar tabs breaking? I know that they will lay with the inner fenders removed. That is the goal. How is the ball joint angles with them? Anyone with 18's and having a problem with the rims hitting the shock relocator? Better question is will I gain my turning radius back with these arms? I was looking to get kit # ARF5000-LUCA.

Re: Control Arm ?'s

I have the upper and lowers pretty happy with them for the most part. I have never had any problems with the sway bay ends, and yes they will hit the shock tabs on a 18's going to fix that problem this winter. And if you buy these make sure you put some grease in the lower arms because they will squeak like crazy if you dont.

Re: Control Arm ?'s

Are you talking about the bolt on the lower part of the shock/lower a arm or the relocator up top?

Re: Control Arm ?'s

More than likely he is talking about the shock and not the bracket... Most s10s will rub at full lock it also depends on the width and offset of the wheel. years ago i ran an 18x7 and didn't have any issues. your every day driving will not be effected you'll only notice it on U turns

Re: Control Arm ?'s

have had my rims for almost 5 years now, no problems did modify them to lay on 20's, and i just installed power performance ball joints and the ones that came with them 5 years ago were badly worn and the boots were messed up from that. i never had a problem on 18's, except at full lock. and then it would hit the shock tower not the control arm.

Re: Control Arm ?'s

gotta love art arms, i am not saying you are not laying on 22's but i don't see how without piecutting them as with my 255/35/20 i am just about locked out even with powerperformance ball joints and i don't see it laying on a 22.

art are the only arms i will probably ever run.

they lay out on 22s with stock spindles and 24s with drop spindles easy.

Re: Control Arm ?'s

those are 265 35 22 in the pic of my truck

drop spindles and art uppers and lowers

same size tire as 24's

play with the shims to make them work
great arms they have their flaws
