AIRBAR bushings question!

I just bought a used AIRBAR and before installing it I want to make sure that the bushings will last. I remember reading something on here that says that the bushing especially on the wishbone wear out fast...my truck is a daily so I want to avoid any iusses... I also remember reading somewhere on here (dont remember where though) that someone used some type of bearing system instead of a bushing. If anyone can point me in teh right direction or have some input for this situation, can you please post up...Thanks in advance!

Re: AIRBAR bushings question!

Im pretty sure you want to tighten those bushings up at ride height. I have the road grater and thats how you do it on them. And if the bushings look ripped or torn around the center stud you will need new ones.

Re: AIRBAR bushings question!

i dont think its completely necessary to change out the bushings on the air bar, it may benfit you like you said but im sure if your not flippin switches at every light your bushings will last a sufficient amount of time. ART puts out quality products, i havent had a problem with my bushings in 2 years.

Your choice...9/16 or 5/8.
You will need new (longer) tabs, as well, since this joint is larger than a bushing.

Re: AIRBAR bushings question!

id stick with sleeves i think someone did but if I remember right they dont' give as much lift and rode alot worse. also another way to fix the bushing problem if you have access to a lathe is to get some poly leaf spring bushings and cut them down to fit i did that and it works good been holding up almost 2 years on the moded polys.
