Re: New SD 3 Link
suicidedoors bolt on 3 link is cheaper you just have to weld on the bag brackets plus you have the option of welding in a notch and laying out, the airbag isnt designed to layout and another plus is the suicidedoors 3-link comes with a raised gastank crossmember. its just in your best interest to go with the suicidedoors kit

Re: New SD 3 Link
is it basically set up the same way as the ART Airbar though? No Cutting into the bed...no frame work...just basic bolt on kit?

Re: New SD 3 Link
Dont by the airbar. From what ive read, the 3link is a way better option.
Yes its cheaper than it as well, but I ordered lots of other stuff too. This is a rebag so I have everthing else. the bolt on 3link Iron Cross upper plates Axle Brackets with shock Mounts on them Sideways Upper Shock Mounts 1- bridge bar (have one on from prior bag job) 4-1/2" Brass Tee with 1/8" 90 Deg Fitting 25ft 1/4 airline for air horn EDIT: Not to mention SD has the best service hands down, that plus the S10forum discount they cant be beat! Re: New SD 3 Link
well its kinda like comparing apples to oranges...both kits bolt on, but ours raises the gas tank and can lay on 20s without mods, but doesnt include any bags or brackets. the airbar kit has everything you need to bag the back, but requires a grip of mods to make it lay out on any wheels.

Re: New SD 3 Link
ya i didnt think it was possible without even the smallest of notches. Ive been throwin around the idea of gettin bagged since beginning of summer but like everyone else money is tight and its not exactly a cheap thing to do lol. I guess my main question was is it basically the SD version of the AIRBAR? NO cutting or anything like that?

Re: New SD 3 Link
im not lookin to lay out though...if it could lay out on 20's with no mods to the bed or puttin in a notch id be hittin the buy now button as we speak. So its essentially the same as the AirBar...bolts in with minimal mods and no intrusions into the bed and still allows for a pretty good drop?...an having the added advantage of bein made by the best in the business.. Re: New SD 3 Link
i was talking about mods to the link kits, not the frame, which is a different subject altogether. however, we do not have a bolt-on kit similair to the airbar, that kit has all the bags and shocks built in.

Re: New SD 3 Link
So you *could* get the 5 link, and the whole 3 link would be bolt on, and the whole rear is bolt on on the 5 link.. So the only thing that would neeed to be welded, would be the notches, if you wanted that.

Re: New SD 3 Link
correct me if im wrong but dont you need a notch/bridge kit for SD 3 link???? you have to mount the bags to something....and that something would be the notch. You cant do the sd 3 link and not put a notch in there and cut out the bed...right? i mean or else wtf does the upper part of the bag mount to?

Re: New SD 3 Link
you can easily use a behind and under axle kit, and you want need to cut out the bed at all.
