Carrier Bearing Xmember

Looking on SD website I notice that the xmember says it is for 98-03. I have a 97 with the low low carrier xmember. Will the SD xmember work on my truck?

Re: Carrier Bearing Xmember

The x member hang down about 2" below the frame. I was talking to a friend and we both thought that maybe I could have a 98 frame but 97 everything else. My truck has a build date of sept or oct 97.

Re: Carrier Bearing Xmember

97 trucks switched halfway through the year to 98+ features, like center console shifter and newer mirrors. its possible you have the new frame as well.

the 98+ crossmember has 4 rivits on each side, i believe pre-97 has 2 on each side.
