Re: wiper help.
Could be just a rusty connector or a bad ground. Sometimes just unplugging and re-plugging can knock enough rust off to connect power again.

Re: wiper help.
Its the pulse board on the wiper motor, you don't have to replace the motor. Advance has the Pulse Board ACI PN 172361 for $29.00, Autozone has it for $19.00 PN 70000. Sometimes you can try and clean the contacts an apply some dielectric grease to them and it may work for a while. You don't have to remove the motor to replace it, just remove the screws on the cover an there it is. unplug and replace. Hope this helps

Re: wiper help.
Put 12 volts directly to the motor. If it works the switch is bad, if it doesn't work the motor is bad.

Re: wiper help.
Those motors don't burn out in 300K miles. The problem associated in the motor, is the internal + feed wire is bare and hangs real close to the gears. Often it will eventually touch, dump the voltage causing it not to run.
We just drill out the rivets. Tape a sleave around the wire and screw the casing back together using about $2 worth of stainless steel screws and nuts. It'll go at least another 10 years. |
