Transmission Gear Indicator??

I recently bought a 91 blazer 4x4 with the digital dash. The transmission gear needle in the dash is stuck on the 1 position and does not move. Does anyone know what controls this and how I can fix it?

Thanks

Re: Transmission Gear Indicator??

take the nee pad off the dash under the steering colum and there is a small cable glued to the bottom of the colum that moves with the lever. the cable probably snapped and will have to be reattached.

Re: Transmission Gear Indicator??

I was going to mention that but looking at the extra cluster I have out, its down past the "P" when the cable is released. So if it was broke it would be on the opposite end?

unless the indicator return spring, & the cable broke????
