Re: show off your blazer, jimmy, or bravada

I would love to do that but it has just been repainted and they taped off around the trim. Not sure if the colors would match. I know i could buff but still not sure. I kind of like the trim it makes the whole truck look like it came from the factory this way.

Re: show off your blazer, jimmy, or bravada

Allright guys i gave in. I am in the process of removing all of the side trim. Would a paint shop have some type of wheel that will remove the excess glue. Ive done this before on another truck i had and it took me like a week of wiping to get all the glue off.

Re: show off your blazer, jimmy, or bravada

Yeah, sorry about whoring this thread up but it seemed pretty dead. I will take them all off and get all the glue off and see how it looks. Worst case scenario is i will have to replace the trim which it needed to be anyway. The plastic chrome on the trim was, well, not exactly chrome anymore. Oh yeah, MEXINACTION i am static 5/6.

Re: show off your blazer, jimmy, or bravada

I have decided to put it back on. I only took 1 side off. I am going to get some of that chrome pinstripe tape and put it over the old "chrome" on the moulding. Thanks for all the feedback on the truck. It is definately one of the nicest trucks i have ever owned. Other than needing new tires theres really nothing wrong with it.

Hey man, I'm up in Indiana but I have a stock set of tails with the black trim on my Jimmy. Would you be interested in trading by any chance?

And there's my baby, it's my first vehicle and things are going to be slow with it, but I have big plans, and I'm in love with it!

Re: show off your blazer, jimmy, or bravada

thanks...its showing its age in places, the paint on the hood is starting to fade (same with the roof). Would be nice to find a cheap daily to drive while I have the blazer painted and then I could take care of the interior stuff as well. Ready to dynomat the whole thing and either find some new front buckets or get mine re-upholstered...I really like your Blazer, very nice combination of mods
