Rear Tailgate
I'm doing major work to my 'ol '87, i'll post pictures when its done as i've got barely enough time in the day to go to work and try and finish it right now, doing the whole body over, almost there, today i started looking at that pesty rear tailgate handle (the round thing you turn to open the tailgate, or use the key in it to open the glass)..
Maybe i should shave it.. lol, heres the question, does anyone know if the door lock actuators that do the front door locks have enough force to open pull the tailgate rods enough to open the tailgate?? I'm thinking of mounting a lock actuator to pull the rods so i can shave the back and get rid of the round handle, would this work? anyone done it before? |

Re: Rear Tailgate
I would order one for a 70's cadillac trunk. I had one and you need some power to move it so the dime gate should be nothing
