Pickup bumper on Blazer?

My Blazer is not really what you would call a show truck or anything, but I have a nice-looking chrome rear bumper off of my pickup just laying around. My rear bumper on my Blazer is a bit messed-up from where my buddy gave me a push with his brush guard, and Im also in need of some type of hitch. So I figured I would kill 3 birds with one stone.

My question is, will it work? I know the pickups have a tailgate with a dip in it possibly to clear the bumper, but I dont know. My pickup doesnt have a tailgate, so I cant really test the theory myself. I already measured, and the rear frame is the same width, so I know that wont be an issue.

just try it. It will probably work or you could make it work just don't get pissed off if it doesn't work. Have fun gettting the old bumper off too i had to drill my bolts out to get mine off and then get new carriage bolts for it. The hed spun because it rusted and i couldn't lossen them.

I think you will have to modify the mounting brackets. I havent tried it myself, but it seems like alot of guys prefer a blazer bumper on their trucks over the stock truck bumper and when they do this there is some modification involved. Like the others said go ahead and try it. I plan to do this also at some point, I just need to find a bumper off of a '93 truck so the trim will match.

people put blazer bumpers on s10s why not the other way around...but to tell you the truth i like the look of a blazer bumper over a s10 bumper...

Just keep your Blazer brackets, you might need them!
