might be buying a 1994 oldsmobile bravada

it has 200k miles on it the guy said everything works on it but it has some rust but not much at all and the tailgate needs replaced.

what do i need to look/listen for when im checking it out???
with it being awd what should i check for in that???

i can get it for a grand but never had a 4x4/awd car before so im not sure what i need to be looking for and what i should check or feel why im test driving it.

thanks for the help and im trying to get the vin so i can run it to make sure everything is good to go if i buy it.
