Hissing Noise From Heater Control

What do I hear a hissing noise from my heater/AC control? Is this normal?

Re: Hissing Noise From Heater Control

I replaced my heater control assy. with the same results. Kinda thinking it might be a cracked vac. line or the heater control I just replaced (used) has the same problem.

I had the same problem, but replacing the control fixed it.

This is gonna be a guess but it sounds like the vac line on the back of the switch are not making a good seal.

Re: Hissing Noise From Heater Control

I hisses all the time. Not just between shifts. When I get the time I will remove the heater control and plug all the vac. lines and listen.

All it's doing is moving the vents open/close

Re: Hissing Noise From Heater Control

Yea I know but the problem I am after is that the heat flapper does not work. I thought maybe to fix the hiss problem first then find out why the heat flapper doesn't work.

Re: Hissing Noise From Heater Control

I bought a used one and replaced it. Did the same thing. Not to say the new used one isn't bad also. I've seen that before.
