Digital dash repair

I was wondering if anyone has had success with repairing the digital dash on thier own..I have a 94 Bravada and have what appears to be the same problem as the others..speedo and odometer working, all others out. I removed the dash today and inspected the motherboard and all connectors, solder joints etc..i found a capacitor melted..replaced it..but nothing changed. I guess tomorrow is back to the basics and check my B+ and ground circuits to make sure its not something stupid. If I figure out the solution of what capacitors..diodes and resistors etc..that are needed i'll be sure to add to this post. Also...has anyone tried the "repair kit" on ebay for 25.00?

Re: Digital dash repair

What ya wanna do,or atleast what I have found, remove the green motherboard and go over each solder joint again with a pencil style solder iron. But if that doesnt work, most likely its the power supply gone bad.You can get a repair kit with new P/S off ebay I think,or somewhere I forget.

Re: Digital dash repair

Look on Ebay under s10 part then search for dash. I got the motherboard for less than $75 shipped. You can get a complete dash for around $125 and one guy will set the correct mile for you for a little more and you can get custom colored clear plastic covers for the module.Heres a link.
