Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
well i was at the junk yard yesterday and all the trucks that used to have double visors well, they used to have them, lol. and i couldnt find any of these mysterious 3rd brake lights.
but i did find a overhead consoul and a set of power mirrors. which i got down to the last screw and stripped it out but hopefully they will still be there on saturday or one day after work before than. ( i know i shoulda hid them somewhere) haha |

Same thing I was thinking. I see the double visors in Jimmys a lot but never the 3rd brake lights.

Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
This was my first car when I turned 16.
I just bought it back and I will eventually restore it. It needs a lot of work to get it back to the way I had it 13 years ago. The second pic was how it looked the day I sold it. The first pic is what it looks like today. A lot of rust on the rear quarter panels. Needs new everything. I would like to eventually put a 327 in it. |

Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
i was thinkin, since the lid is broken off my center console anyways and i like the look it has now, i wanna take the lock out and put a toggle switch in the hole for my amp. i would just use a washer on the front to hold it on there. what do u guys think?

Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
I agree. It wouldn't be what I'd do but it might have been something I would have done when I was 17 and broke.
If you do that mod, paint the washer black and maybe look for a round push-button switch. |

Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
yea i like the push button idea better. the lid will still fit on top of the center console and wont slide off. theres just no point to keep the lock. eventually ill get a new one but all my money is going towards getting it running and on the road first. im looking for cheap things i can do here and there. |

Doesn't that shifter get in the way of the radio when it's in Drive? I know mine did on my '95 Blazer even though it was stock.

thanks, ive gotta get my headliner over there and get it done and im hopin by freak show ill have the rest of it done(unless its just a chassis im that ends up goin)...David Corn at Pro Stitch is the one doing all of the interior hes makin quarter piece and a talgate piece and covering them all in the same material,he was gonna put the gray suede in the seats but said it didnt look right. In those pictures it looks pinkish but its almost maroon suede.Kinda wish i would have taken that cavi seat out for the show though lol
