Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
![]() ![]() Here is a couple pics of my '88 S10 Blazer. I bought it off someone on Ebay last spring for a whopping $270.00. It needed a steering column to be drive-able, and I brought one with me and swapped it in and drove it home, over 75 miles from there to home. I was gambling, buying something I never even looked at, but it has been good to me. Its a 4.3/700r4 4x4. 238,000 miles and counting. Daily driven, great in the northeast snow and ice. It did have other problems over time, like a recent alternator, and over the summer I rebuilt the front end, and new shocks. It was a replacement for my poor ol 89 s10 pickup, Rust really killed that little 4x4. It still runs good tho. Works good for a yard truck. I want to give this one a fresh paintjob and keep it from getting rusty. In the northeast, cars turn to rotboxes in no time. I been really enjoying everyones pics here, and though I would add my own. Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I bought this last June and it managed to break down half an hour after I picked it up somewhere near Stonehenge. I kept it covered up until recently and then I spent over what I paid for it in repairs. It's a 1987 2.8i V6 4x4. It's horribly slow but I really don't mind. The lone roofrack bar has gone now. I was planning to put some spots on it on the cheap but it looks awful. I was also thinking of installing a 2" lift but I love it as it is. |

Re: 1st gen Blazers; post pics here
I got those headlights off ebay. They SUCK in the rain tho. If you search for them yourself make sure you get ones that are the projector style. They have a larger reflector (round thing in the center covering the bulb) which helps concentrate the light more. The parking lights are from LMC truck, but you can find those on Ebay as well for cheaper most likely. |
