Bolt in Door Kit Review...
I got this kit a few weeks back and wanted to test it out before i did a review on it. I know alot of people on here arent fans of AutoLoc's older door kits, but these new style ones are great.
One side of the kit with instructions. Very detailed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Took my door panel off. (2x 7mm bolts, 1 philips screw) ![]() I had a aftermarket door lock kit that i had to take off before the install. ![]() Removed the 3 torx door latch bolts.(t50) ![]() Removed the window track. makes it a lot easier to work on.(2x10mm bolts) ![]() Connect the plate to the latch with the 3 supplied bolts. ![]() Connect the actuator to the latch.(M5x16 pitch .8 Hex cap screw osh #9213984 and M5 pitch .8 Locknuts osh #9327321) ![]() Here's the kit back on the door. I had to grind a little off the plate cause it was touching the latch. you cant really see it in the pic, but the instructions say you may have to. ![]() Now I just reused the wiring from my door lock kit to the actuators to save me some time. But the instructions have wiring diagrams that show you how to do it. Now the kit has been on the truck for about 2 weeks and are working perfectly. Very easy to install. Overall very happy with it. So now there are a few choices when your wanting to have a bolt in kit. |
