Re: zr1 vette

Pics of a lowered ZR2?

Why buy a lifted vehicle then lower it?

Re: zr1 vette

I doubt very many people have done this (if any) but I would like to see the ZR1's on there. I was thinking of getting 4th gen 10 spokes on my ZR2.

Re: zr1 vette

Dont do it.. Take it from someone with a lowered 4wd. Its fine to drop a 4by. Mine functions very well for what I do with. Just dont do it to a ZR2. If you really want to drop something sell it and buy something else...

Re: zr1 vette

well the zr2's are stock lifted higher than a reg. 4x4 so it defeats the entire thing. they are so different than a reg. 4x4 that it would make more sense to sell it and get another s10.

Hey, it's your truck, do what you want to do with it.

GM made 2WD ZR2 Blazers in 04 and 05

Re: zr1 vette

Theres a guy in the lsx section with a lowered ZR2. Well, its not that low, it sits about as high as a stock 4x4 and I believe he made it 2wd.

Re: zr1 vette

go for it!!! I have a zr2 pickup, (GMC highrider actually) that I plan on lowering. first of all the front diff is out seince it seized up, I plan on finding a junked 2wd s10 and useing the front suspention and rear axle (the zr2 stuff to wide so the tires would hit the fenders), to bag and body drop my z. reasons for this, it is in good shape runs decent, execpt a little misfire and the mechanical malfunctions with the drivetrain, so I know I'm not able to get what I want to sell it and I already own it, so why go out and throw money at another truck. unless I find someone to straight up trade for a 2wd

you probably can find someone to trade straight up for a 2wd pretty easily.

you need more than just the front suspension off a 2wd. you need the whole front frame

Dumb idea.... to each their own. But youd have to change soooo much, I looked into it many years ago... That why I now have a Bravada AWD T-case

My launch > 2wd launch

fun things happen

Drivetrain brakage = all the time...Be prepaired

Don't know about using that to lower it (I was planning on either using a front clip off a 2wd or building a frame using the clip) but that is how mine's still on the road. we took out the front diff and cv shafts. (bearings seized up inside the diff) than we had to break apart the cv at the joint near the hub than stick that piece back threw the hub and tighten the nut so it won't come apart. but that still uses the tbars. I know its ghetto but I need to get to work, and have gone 10K miles like that
