Does that seem like that should be normal to anyone else? It's a lifted truck! Lifted trucks get ASS for mileage!

10 is pretty haggard tho, considering I got almost 19 with I had 31s, but I was lowered.

Have you guys tried driving slower?(literally)

Re: this is ****in bullshit

FWIW
Just had my first $70 fill up with a '94 4 cyl auto S10 ext cab Pickup.
$3.959 x 17.8 gal = $70.47
376.5 miles / 17.8 gal = 21.15 mpg

My '89 S15 4cyl 5 spd was good for 27 mpg overall from '98 till last spring when I retired it. I bet a V6 in the '94 would work easier and get better mpg.

10 mpg with a 4.3? hell, my burb does that towing a blazer on a fullsized trailer. in range failure of o2 sensor, no convertor lockup, or a dirty maf will cause a big dip im mileage with no check engine light.

Re: this is ****in bullshit

I have a 2005 (last Model) s10 Blazer no lifts. But I did put in a K&N and a sport mass air flow sensor for the Rockies (less air there), I get 15 City like the rest of you but I get close to 32 highway, I got twice the MPG of some of you towing a U-haul to the east cost. Must be year, model lift-kit, something. You guys aren't giving the Blazer enough credit. Older models upgrade to the Vortec manifold. Lift-kit/MPG trade off. Or clean/fix your $h1T. Me I want to upgrade to the new Silverado V8, with 4 cylender vacume switching I could squeeze out another 5mpg. Dose any one know (if possible) where to get a vortec V8 6L with Active Fuel Management (might need knew computer), for a s10 Blazer? Speaking of the new Silverado based on what you guys "claim" that thing gets better mpg than the blazer and it's twice the size.

That must have been a fat finger...I find it hard to believe your milage doubles...

The 15 was an estimate, I don't really know what it gets city but I know it isn't good, and it varies how you drive. And almost 32mpg is at 55-60mph, its probably closer to 30 at this mileage. But the point is you can get a blazer to save gass but there are sacrifices.

Re: this is ****in bullshit

Hahaha,

"Chuck",

You claim that you get 32 mpg in a 2005 Blazer.

Or your "instant mileage" on your trip computer might flash that for a minute.

I'm not convinced by just your statement or the fact that this was your second post. Corroborate it with a witness, some data and come back.

My 01 ZR2 gets about 15 around town and 18 on the highway. (Gibson catback, K/N filter, good tune up)
My 2000 Blazer (4-door) would only get 16/7 around town and maybe 20-21 on the highway (3.42 gears with 28" tires), Gibson catback, K/N, modified intake for frontal air, good tuneup.

If you had an LS1 motor, 03 Z06 cam, short tube headers, high flow cats, T56 trans, 4.11 gears with 28" tires, 2WD, you could get 28-29 on the highway at 70MPH.
