Oil Filter Access Door Bolt/Latch

I dont have the little screw/bolt that keeps the Oil Filter access door closed on my aluminum front skid plate. Any Ideas on a replacement or an alternative?

Re: Oil Filter Access Door Bolt/Latch

I saw my door flapping in the wind once after off-roading, I Just went over to our large collection of bolts and grabbed one about the right size and it worked perfect.

I don't think there are any threads on that door, its more like the grille kind of nuts holding the bolt.

So really, any bolt the right diameter will work.

Mine is not the aluminum skids though, maybe they have threaded nuts for the door on them. I'm doubting it though...

i drilled another little hole, zip ties work wonders. just replace it after every oil change. no more flapping.
