Dually ZR2
I saw a picture online somewhere of a dually ZR2. This was really nice looking truck. I know it serves no purpose, and is giving up almost all offroad capabilities, but it looks really cool. Anyone know where you can get the fenders? I figure you can just use wheel spacers in the rear. I dunno. Anyone got any info on these?

Re: Dually ZR2
I wonder how they did the rims...
I'm thinking about getting some dually wheels and tires (16" or so) and buying adapters and spacers for it. If I could find a stepside bed so I could duplicate the fenders in fiberglass, I'd try it. Cept my truck is 2wd and will be bagged. |

Re: Dually ZR2
I've seen other pics of them too.
That one does look really nice. ![]() ![]() http://jdairbrushart.com/randys_s10.htm I can't remember what site it was on, but there is somewhere you can buy Dually fenders like on that last one, you may have to do some trimming, but they will work. If I can dig up the site, I will post it later. |

Re: Dually ZR2
I am a teacher at a small east Texas school and we have a lot of redneck kids who think that a truck has to be BIG to be bad. I would do this to my truck just to mock them. (I know that sounds bad but its all in good light hearted fun) It wont help you pull more but it may add stability when getting close to max capacity, but nothing else. |

Re: Dually ZR2
I saw the red one on this forum a few months ago,it actually looks really good, but pointless for an offroad machine like a ZR2.

Re: Dually ZR2
From what ive seen, you could use a 5 to 8 lug adapter and run regular 1ton dually wheels on the stock suspension. Dont know how it would affect the factory 8.5 rear end, but it doesnt seem like you would have a problem in the front since the wheels wouldnt add that much weight if you stuck with the load range C tires. But, Ive been wrong before.
