Anything is possible. Your recruiter honestly doesn't know shit about where your duty station will be. If you mean schooling then yeah certain MOS's go to certain places. Let's say your going to Comm. school then yes you will be stationed out in 29 for school.

WTF?! Hell no. DI's and everybody else that's training you for that matter don't give two shits what your MOS is. All the recruits get trained to be Marines the same way. It's where you go after SOI/MCT that counts. As far as a lie detector when you go to school or whatever; I doubt it but I'm not 100% sure on that.

But again; no they don't give you a lie detector in boot camp.

readin this brings back some great memories P.I. still miss that smell haha it will stay with you forever ,lejune these cats are spot on about that shithole town ,memphis goood times , pendleton go west young man socal is the best resolutions in 96 sweet ,yuma its hot , okinowa is ok if you make it over there check out the naha music factory if its still there (you wont be shopin for cds) stay away from the buy me drink me girls and try to save some money its hard but try, boot camp is 90% will power you got to want it the run times pull up and sit up #s aint shit youll get stronger and faster trust me. just remember every one of us has ask ourselves that question "WHAT THE **** WAS I THINKIN" thats the moment youll decide if you really want to be one of us

He said it man. It does bring back some good times and some shitty times. But it is what you make of it. I had a ton of fun times and there were times I wanted to snap and punch someone in the ****ing head. There are a lot of fools that are higher rank that are pissed off all the time. So they're going to be like a hemorrhoid on your ass. Don't forget there just trying to get there lunch money back from high school and shit. I was hella laid back and I got my shit done and gave the respect to everyone that deserved it and gave it to me. It's real hard to save money for other Marines but it was hella easy for me man. I paid my bills and had money to blow but it went right into my bank and stayed there. I went out and had a good time whenever I wanted.


I agree though; go west coast. So much to do and see and a lot better women out that way.

dont count on that shit man. shit could change in a heart beat when it comes to boot. once you get there you'll be doing stupid shit. then you'll get picked up in a forming platoon (something like that), then you'll meet your di's. the first di's you'll get will only be there a few days to a week.

Must have changed since I was there!! We meet our DI's the moment we got off the bus!! We had the same throught out basic!!

when i went in 8 yrs ago we had di's in our face as soon as we got off the plane, and then the bus. we eventually got forming day di's a day or so after we got there. after a week, we had a 3 di's for the rest of boot.
