not for everyone. its demanding both mentally and physically. most people will just say its easy because they completed it. once you do that anything thats hard can seem so trivial when you look back on it. one thing i reccomend though. never give up. it will make things so much easier on yourself and others. when you feel at your worst you push a little harder. Personally i like the Corps. You'll make some amazing friends and have the most fun you had in your life. AS WELL as the crappiest times in your life. if you need any help just pm me.

honstly the ist dont really matter, its all about the pft just make shure you can run it within 13 min i think it is? or youll stay in receving untill you can do it,

but again IST arent really important you only do it once, and than youll do pfts and cft's

oh and btw if it gonna be your first time over here just let me tell you 29 does not do the west coast justice lol

like me and tony are from the bay (over by SAn Fransisco and oakland area)
and down here is nothing like back home

Re: Usmc

yeah the IST doesn't count for much really as long as you can make it. i think i did it about 1145 or 12:00ish which is really bad since you need to get it in 13 min lol. but my PFT is 22 min which is decent. yeah the littleton is the POG chow hall but the officers seem to like it lol.
yeah the stumps is nothin like back at home. i cant wait for this weekend. going back for the 96 and starting my 4-link on the rear suspension!

no youll be in the barrkks however you spell that, your not allowed to work on vehicles in the parking lot there is an automotive center were you can work on shit there, but i heard there hella strict and wont even let you use the welder unless you have a certification.

i just use my bodys off base, or he brings it to my house.

Re: Usmc

I'm at lejeune. Not havin a car on base will suck! Here and bases in cali are huge and have several different zip codes if that gives you idea of size. There are hobby shops for all to use but are crowded and you will have to follow guidelines. Best bet to find someone with same interests in cars that has a garage. Check out the southeast sub-forum if you plan on being at lejeune. Low Class Mini's is gettin pretty large. Deuces...

you wont be able to get a car until you finish your MOS school first of all. unless the school is like a year long. but you can always get a bike!

i would def recommend knowing your general orders, rank structure, and, if possible, some basic drilling. the more knowledge you learn before you go to boot the less you gotta worry. and trust me the less you worry the better boot will go. i learned ANYTHING i could before i went to boot so really all i had to learn was the medical stuff and some history. it helps because it puts less stress on you.
