Why the **** are the IT dudes at Camp Roberts so ****ing stupid? It boggles my mind when I call them and say, "Hey, I'm so-in-so at so-in-so and I'm getting ________ error on terminal ______." and they have NO idea what the **** I'm telling them. Then, an hour later, I call them back, talk to the same dude, tell him the same thing, but add, "Push a new Option to my terminal" and the ****er all of a sudden knows everything there is to know about my specific system. "Dude, seriously? Why didn't you know this an hour ago?" What the ****!!!!!

Re: Military BSing Thread

Hell, I dont know who to give shit to other than the Army. I spent 6 years active duty Navy in a damn engineroom. We had some Marines that got sent to us for extra duty (per article 15s) and after spending 2 hours down in the engineroom of the Saratoga they were like "you guys are crazy, this job sucks worse than ours".

Then I crosstrained to the Seabee's and had to peel a stripe, ended up as a CM2. That was an adventure. Our LPO had some brain damage from Vietnam and thought he was a Marine. Problem was, he thought we were too and since we were allways surrounded by Marines no one noticed.

I finally decided to take it easy and joined the Air National Guard as a heavy equipment operator. Went to the tech school at, of all places, Ft Leonard Wood. Another adventure. Middle of nowhere BFE with nothing to do surrounded by Army. Made it through that school with half my brain still at Big Louis and the rest preoccupied with (insert stripper name here).

As if I didnt have enough trouble staying in 1 career field or hell, even branch of service,I wound up augmenting the security forces (military police or mall cops) on our base. I thought man, this would be great if I could get an AGR job and be active duty but permanently stationed here. Off to another tech school I went(as an E5)
Holy shit.
The dumbest people in the world are airmen in security forces tech school. Army aint got shit on em and I retract every derogatory statement ever made about em. I cant believe they can walk and remember to breathe. Made it through that school without killing anyone though I managed to hurt a few feelings Nobody can chew azz like a Navy Chief petty officer and having learned from the best I didnt think it inappropriate to call people out when they did dumb shit. Turns out I was wrong. Air Force doesnt play that way but thats another story.

Yay, I get an AGR job so now I'm active duty mall cop. Life is easy street from here on out.
wrong.
Just about that time we had a change in leadership. Our new Chief of security forces is ex Army (another reason for me to rethink my comments bout the Army). Turns out he was airborne, aa, all that stuff. He thinks Ghengis Khan is a liberal pussy and I 'm pretty sure his head will explode if anyone ever says "but this is the Air Force, we dont do it that way".
I need to deploy to a dark corner in asskrackistan just to get a break.
I guess in some way, shape, form or fashion I've gotten to experience a little of each branch, but only the sucky parts. If anyone finds a skate job lemme know.

I got out of the Marine Corps in October '08. DD214 mother****as. I was a grunt, 0341 Infantry mortarman. I made three wonderful trips to the
Sandbox.

Aug '05 - Mar '06
Jan '07 - Aug '07
Apr '08 - Sep '08

Right now, I'm chilling in school taking a few classes for the time being. I start Wyotech June 29th. If you want to know anything about the Marine Corps, Boot Camp, Iraq, whatever, simply shoot me a question. I'll be more than happy to answer it for you.

P.S. Go look up Operation Steel Curtain/Operation Iron Fist.

Re: Military BSing Thread

The recruiting center by our house has regular PT classes. There's about 50 people who are supposed to show up, and about 18 that actually do. There's some Marines, 1 ChairForce, and the rest are from the Army. I have nothing against the Marines (Except that I can outrun all but 1 in the 2 mile).

I got some complaints about the Airforce though. Their recruiter doesn't return calls, is never in the office (Even for the face to face meetings they are supposed to be having), and the ONLY AirForce recruit who actually shows up for PT fits the chairforce description perfectly. He can't play football, he shows up late, and can't run. Yes, their recruiter is very good looking.

Re: Military BSing Thread

We just destroyed the Air Force in ultimate football on Wednesday. It was like 13 to 2 before they quit, and they had about 10 more people on their team than we did.

The Sargent said we scared the shit out of them when we did this cadence running to the field:
I went to the playground
Where all the kiddies played
I pulled out an uzi
and I began to spray

Left Right left right
Left Right Kill
Left Right Left Right
I think I will

I went to the market
Where all the people shopped
I pulled at a machete
and I began to chop

Left Right left right
Left right Kill
Left right left right
Ya know I will.

The best part was our Staff Sargent ended up diving into the swamp for a catch.

I can never keep track of which branch does what in their boot camps because policy changes with each CO. Hell, I've heard of three different times where they started and then stopped using those bullshit stress time out cards in Navy boot camp.

LMAO....Air Force BMT deffinatly doesnt get the weekend off, and no time out cards either. I heard the Navy does but Ive nvr been in the Navy so I cant confirm that. Ive talked to most my buddys in the army and navy and from the sounds of it we all went threw pretty much the same b.s. in Basic. No matter what branch your in you get screamed at, you do push ups, and you shoot guns. Thats basic training.

Ive talked to most my buddys in the army and navy and from the sounds of it we all went threw pretty much the same b.s. in Basic. No matter what branch your in you get screamed at, you do push ups, and you shoot guns. Thats basic training.

I just heard that sometime when i was in boot camp. never knew if it was true and really never looked into it. but, i definetly got screamed at and did alot of push-ups in the pit. made some sugar cookies
