S-10 to S-10 SS
Hi, i'm new here, I have a few questions.
I have a 98 Chevy S-10 that I am considering in making it into an SS. What do I need to do to make it like this, performance-wise, and looks. It is the goldish, pewter color, but I am planning on painting it into maybe, blue, red, or yellow and putting a "new Camaro" type stripe on it. I am also planning on ordering the M3 sport mirrors to put on it to get rid of the "dumbo" style. Could someone give me a list of what I could put on it? And maybe some pictures as examples? Thanks. |

Re: S-10 to S-10 SS
The only way to make it into an SS is to sell it and buy a real one. Doesn't matter if it's equipped with all of the SS equipment, without the RPO codes B4U, and ZQ8 in the glovebox, it's not an SS.

Re: S-10 to S-10 SS
Ok. I understand that. but is there a way to make it resemble one without it saying SS on it? Either that or make it into an xtreme.

Re: S-10 to S-10 SS
making it a ss is going to add like 20 bucks to the value..so i dont think it is worth it...plus when you try to pass it off as a ss people will call you out

Re: S-10 to S-10 SS
but i agree making it an ss or xtreme clone wouldnt be worth it if you want one then buy one if you wanted to make it into an xtreme the body kit alone would set you back a few hundred bucks plus you would have to drill holes all the way around the truck to put it in |

Why get M3 mirrors? I thought you were trying to make it an SS? Shouldn't you get SS mirrors?

Re: S-10 to S-10 SS
The only reason I bought my S10 was because it was an original SS. And yes it has the u4b code and the real Zq8 suspension. Now does anyone have the part numbers for a factory floor shifter, or a used one they want to sell.
