repainting my 94 ss, sneak peak

Here is a sneak peak of the paint I chose to redo my 94 with. It is a metallic black, and man is there a s load of metallic in it. I hope to have this finished within the next week. I am waiting on a new paint gun.

No, that is painted tape you see. If you look at it before I primed it, you can see the blue tape there.

I have seen others that were color matched to the truck, and they looked good. These were getting a little scratched up, so I figured it was a good time to see if they will look good painted or not. They are pretty cheap, so if I don't like them painted, I'll just get new ones.

It is a gti 620g Devilbiss. I don't know that much about paint guns, but after reading lots of post by paint toad and others, I decided that one should do well for my purpose.

Re: repainting my 94 ss, sneak peak

It's getting closer: I am going to redo the hood and tailgate today. My old cheapo gun left bad streaks in the metallic. The new gun really does a great job on the metallic, very uniform. I got some great tips from paint toad on setup and spraying. So thank you paint toad.
