two new fenders,$600 hood, grille, bumper, bumper brackets, 5 hrs on the frame table, core support, water pump, fan, both engine accessories brackets, 2 new pulleys, radiator, condensor, oil cooler lines, fog lights, battery, hood latch and cable, paint and body work costs (which arent finished)
most of the parts were bought brand new, with the exception of the fenders and core support.... which were used, fenders were ordered from a yard halfway across the country because the paint was the right color... funny thing is, they still have to be blended with the hood....

Makes sense now. I'm glad mine wasn't that bad. There is nothing a 15 ton hydraulic ram wont fix

Can't wait to see it all fixed back up

I mean it looks slick! It fits right in. Kind of makes me wish I would've kept my 94 to put that style front end on. Oh well...that truck was too many headaches.

Re: Project White-Out

pulled the bumper back off to add to the top so the lines match the grille today... went and got some fusor and made attached the pieces, I used a mesh fiber tape on the bottom and fusor'd over it.... almost like fiberglassing, I then used some expanding foam and filled in the area under the cover for added rigidity,I also filled the two holes in the front for the lic. plate, I'll sand this smooth and then use a plasticized filler to skim coat it and make it totally smooth
here are some pics of what i did today....
front end all torn apart...

bumper during...

bumper drying...

my damn expensive fusor gun......

i have to go to work soon, so the bumper will stay off to dry, it has a 24 hr cure time..... i will sand it tomorrow during the day...
have more pics then.....

Re: Project White-Out

im getting ready to do the blazer composite headlights and grill.. i have all the stuff to do it except for the pig tails for the headlights. i notice since you put a different front bumper on your truck you dont have the factory turn signals that came in the front bumper. are you just running without them since the blazer headlights have them in the corners or what? i want to do the 98+ front bumper and valance but i was wondering about the front turn signals.. pm me if ya can man thanks..btw truck looks sick reminds me of my 94 ss

i have a 98+ bumper and valance on mine im just running without the bumper lights you dont need them, the sealed beam have the signals in the corner lights too but im runnning the same set up you want(98+ bumper/valance with the composite grille) you can just cut the bumper lights out

it looks good, just letting you know its a pain to adjust those headlights, its been a month now and ive been tryin off and on to get them right, you can move them in and out and up and down but theres no way to get them to fit the grille like the blazers did and get them to shine on the road at the same time

Actually you can...there are adjustment screws on the back of the housing bracket. I haven't done mine yet either... ....maybe tomorrow after the waterpump.

You can run without them, but be aware...you can be stopped for no turnsignals. This seems to come up quite regularly. The corner lights are sidemarkers... (required) they also serve as reflectors...(required). For the rears...you need sidemarkers, reflectors, and backup lights. 96blazer has a sticky in the exterior/body forum with regs for each state.

mine need to go up almost a half an inch because the bumper is pushing the grille up....i might end up shaving down the top of the bumper and the bottom of the grille.... then adjust the headlights as much as i can....
i put my carpet kit in today... still needs some minor adjustment before i get pics up... also got my pillar pod in the mail today..... but cant seem to find my old gauges anywhere...... so it looks like i'll be buying new ones......

That is how I've been running mine. 98+ bumper, 94-97 valance, and sealed beams. The only problem I've noticed it that the corner lights are not that bright with stock bulbs in the daylight so they tend to be overlooked by other drivers.

thats funny.... i was pulled over the other day for not using my signal..... i actually did....but with all of my lenses being clear they tend to be hard to see......needless to say i got out of the ticket when the officer saw why he didnt see my lights...... AND he commented on how nice my truck was......lol

yeah i know how to move them around thats how i got them level, but when i move them flush with the grille the lights dont shine on the road its up in the trees so i had to move them down

Re: Project White-Out

UPDATE:I finished the air ride for the front late last night..... firestone 2600's up front and it rides like a dream.....had to cut the shit out of the pocket and offset the cups, but they fit well. i am using a Viar 380 temporarily until my EDC shows up and it's slow as hell and agravating but i'm enjoying hitting switches again..... and onto the pics....

I'm going to start with a pic of what it looked like the day I bought it....

then the wreck......

and now...aired up...

aired out....

looks good, are your headlights just out of adjustment or is the one on the drivers side sitting back in the grille too far?

I need to adjust the bumper down some because it is pushing the grille up....notice the grille to hood gap is nonexistent....

i put a spare set of wheels on that have lower profile tires and it put the crossmember on the pavement..... so I went for a quick drag to break it in... pics up in a lil bit when i can upload em...
