Re: Project White-Out

Awesome start, but Im not feeling the tails, the factory ones look good with all the red you got on the truck, but thats just my opinion. What blazer front end you wanting to do?

Re: Project White-Out

So you really going to bag it? Be better if you just do a static drop IMO. Looking good though, good start bro.

I'm not baggin it to lay...... Just baggin it to have it low and be able to adjust it for driving....
with the 18/20 wheel combo I'm going for a hot rod style rake...
I think the 10" wide rear wheels will help to accentuate that....
the rear wont lay out..... I'm keeping the stock bed floor, but with the airride tech setup I am using I will be able to attain an 8" drop for the rear...
http://www.suicidedoors.com/4-link-k...es-s10-air-bar

for the front I am using SD upper and lower control arms with the swaybar option and the shock option....

that way I can maintain driveability
I will also be using a set of AVS drop spindles....
I will also have a rear swaybar.....

Re: Project White-Out

yeah, Id seriously reconsider bagging it, just because you would be cutting up a rare truck. Maybe a 4/4 drop? that'd look sick.

Re: Project White-Out

good to hear. Just thinking back to the 454 SS Muscle Truck Wars on Trucks! the 454 had a nice static drop from Belltech. It looked good and performed damn good too. Can't wait to see the finished product!

I'd still go with a static drop, but its your truck and your project and I'm sure it'll look good no matter what.

Re: Project White-Out

I think your plans for it are awesome even though i hate bags. I think what i really hate is people who cut the truck up to lay out. I think your setup will perform and look great. They do air ride on G machine camaros, novas, etc. all the time.

Re: Project White-Out

Looks good, i got those front swaybar links in mine too i like them, you might not notice too much of a difference with the rear swaybar till it gets dropped, i had an '02 blazer at stock height and rear swaybars come on them from the factory but i didnt notice it when it was that high, but it made a HUGE difference on mine...good choice on painting the engine cover, that was one of the first things i did, i just wish i could find the vortec emblem that was black with white around it instead of orange

Re: Project White-Out

It will prob get dropped 2/3 in the next month or so... when I can afford new front rotors.... so I only have to pull it apart once.... I'm getting the cross drilled and slotted ones and the set is $200. I think I'm going to get the "greenstuff" pads so I don't have to deal with brake dust...

I have already noticed a huge difference because one of the front endlinks was broken so basically I had NO swaybars before...... It corners a lot better now!!

they were known for that, my links were almost gone when i put the coils in so i replaced them then, when you drop it, its gonna be practically level in the turns, itll lose alot of sway, its looking good

It wasn't hard to paint at all...... the hard part was getting that brittle bitch out without breaking it all to hell!
those damn plastic rivet type clips suck ass....GM engineers FAILED with that idea

mine is doing pretty good...... what helps is if you hit the paint with a heat gun while it's curing........kinda like putting a paint booth through a bake cycle.... I used a paint made for plastic so it adheres to it better
