Re: Project: "Diamond in the Rough" SS

Got some pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...they are mounted and they fit in the front with no spacers!....BARELY.....when i tried to mount my dads on mine it wouldnt even go all the way on because of the tie rod and these fit i dont get it.....but they are on finally!...the rear is still on jack stands because my jack is forze its pretty cold here so i couldnt drop the rear down yet...i threw the centercaps from the 98 on there just to get the idea of what its gonna look like (i put the front one on crooked!lol)...i still need to get some centercaps and get them polished

man those rotors are rusty from sitting!lol

the frost from the cold took away alot of the shine and the lighting sucks in my garage theyll shine better with some light once they get cleaned up!

Re: Project: "Diamond in the Rough" SS

Did you have to bore out the middle of the rim to get them to fit right? When I put my z's on my 94, I went to take them back off and they were seized on, took me and my buddy kicking them to get them off.

Hub diameter was reduced in 98 (I think) I'm surprised you got them on at all.

Ok i got the console in today heres some pics

i ripped the light grey carpet off the sides, im gonna put red carpet on it to match the floor

I set in in the truck to see it in there

I pulled a little bit of the carpet up i have to pull most of it up to drill holes for it and take out the middle seatbelt and buckle

Thanks for sharing this project, I like everything you've done. I really like the steering wheel but I don't think I'd want to loose my air bag lol, saw how good that is to have when my wife crashed her Impala...

No need to mod the tracks. There is a plate on the underside of the floor right where the new track sits. I drilled and tapped a hole and installed a bolt from the bottom up with a little green Loc-Tite. I used a dremel to cut the existing stud off. Heres my thread.
