Thumbs up My 1996 SS (new member)

Tell me what you think. I have alot I want to do with it.
98 grille swap
HID lights
2/3 drop
18" black wheels
tint job
exhaust system
and a few performance upgrades but ultimately I'm looking to go with an LS1 V8 swap.

Gave 3K for the truck by the way, thought it was a pretty good deal, inside is flawless and it runs flawless.

Re: My 1996 SS (new member)

that's sick. i would just do a 98+ bumper and valance, clear corners, tint, and lower it.

seems like you got an excellent deal on her btw.

Re: My 1996 SS (new member)

Is the 98 bumper a straight bolt on to a 96? Or is there more involved in swapping them?

No its a straight bolt on, the only thing you have to do is shim the bumper up to fill the gap between the bumper and grille

Re: My 1996 SS (new member)

Do these trucks really come stock with no tag lights? Never noticed this until last week, but I was pulled over crossing into GA for no tag lights. Checked it out the next day suspecting I needed to replace a bulb, however, there were no tag lights at all to be found anywhere. I figured every vehicle ever made came with tag lights considering it's a law to have them.

Thats not a factory roll pan you have on there, the factory SS roll pans do have tag lights.
